2025 -2026 Season: What's the draft look life next year?

Post by harmfuljays »

Camp opened on Wednesday.

https://nesn.com/2025/09/bruins-announc ... mp-roster/

Pastrnak is suffering from tenderitis already.... :P

This season is not going to be good. Maybe next year.....or in a few years. :)

No money to spend and the likes of Tanner Jeannot and Sean Kuraly (we like Sean) as the only adds.

Korpisalo looks to be sold off prior to season opener.

Hampus and Charlie are healthy for now.

If Fabian Lysell can't make this team now well that's it.

1st Preseason game on Sunday!

Suppose I forgot about this Arvidsson signing...not like it matters much.

First preseason game against the Caps saw Sonny Milano having his way.

Poitras had a rough ride with a knee hit and then a high stick.

Dipietro wasn't very good but neither was the D.

Marco Sturm trying to implement a new system has his work cut out for him. Lots of perimeter shots and inability to follow up....they would do well to park a big body (Brazeau is gone) in front of the net at all times......but they don't have that.

Its going to be a rough ride this year and I am certainly prepared.

This team is going to have to make up for lack of talent with hard work....and I am not sure that's going to happen. If you can't compete you at least have to be tough to play against. I don't believe they have either quality this year.

Buckle up Bs fans!

Hard to imagine a world where the Bruins aren't competing for a playoff spot in the Atlantic, but the division is jam-packed with teams going for it, so who would they pass?

Well....after looking fairly disinterested for the game...the Bruins came off the mat against the Rags to erase a 4-1 deficit and win in OT. A character builder for sure during preseason as a poor tone was being set way too early.

No surprise, the Bruins announce they're retiring Zdeno Chara's #33.

I imagine we will see Bergeron, Marchand, and eventually Pastrnak up there as well. That'll be a looooooooot of cloth hanging from those rafters.

Bad news for Poitras with this organization. If you can't make this lineup...well.

https://nesn.com/2025/10/bruins-preside ... toughness/
“I think we’re going to be a very tough out this year,” Neely added. “We’re expecting to play very hard every game… I think teams are going to circle playing against the Bruins and go ‘Oh damn, we got to play them tonight.’ That’s the type of lineup that we put together.”
Things you say when you know the scoring talent on your team exists only in a handful of players.

I guess we'll see.

Really curious to see if Elias Lindholm has a chip on his shoulder.

Oh look...Hampus Lindholm is hurt again.... Elias Lindholm has a point a game with 2 Goals and 2 assists to start the year. Would be nice for him to have a bounce back and finally prove it wasn't Monny and Johnny most the time.

A 3-1 start should be quickly tested against Vegas and Colorado this week.

Apparently questionable defence is infectious across the league. Charlie Mac earned his money against the Knights.........people getting behind him and around him...out of position and struggling to catch up. He logged almost 28 minutes last night........and was somehow even in a 6-5 loss.

Bruins had no business being in the game with the Avalanche last night....thank goodness I didn't get suckered into paying $200 to $300 for that game (on girls night no less).

Bruins outshot 38-14....the Bruins were stuck on 9 SOG for about a period.

It was NOT a competitive game....I would say Swayman was good but there were a lot of active sticks from the role players of the Bruins that broke up shots and plays. The majority of the game was played in the Bruins end with no offensive generation.

Its a back to back with Utah tonight.....Utah has a good mix of youngsters and speed.

Check out this goal that sinks the Bruins with 30 seconds left....how does Verhaege even do this? Bruins can't even buy one here......

I get it Mason Lohrei knows offense but yeesh....his D sucks. Not sure what got into Zadorov last night...but that old line of crusher to rusher to usher seems fit for him! At least he seems to care in his own way....

Damn, Marchand got REALLY emotional during the tribute in Boston last night. Warmed even the coldest recesses of my dead heart.

Very grateful for the puck bouncing off Andrew Peeke and in to prevent what looked like an inevitable overtime. Would've pushed back the Avs game start even farther than it already was!

Its finally a W against the Avs! Yeesh.....sad that I can also use that statement in this forum. Breaks a 6 game losing streak.

Swayman was in this game being outshot 33-19. B's were good on the faceoffs and hard on the puck. The Avs had some strange matinee games that they don't usually get over the weekend....Bs always get these for some reason.

Got to cheer those Ws when they happen this year!

ok well 14 games in and .500 record.

Bruins even beat the Canes and lost Elias Lindholm for some time.

Initially I wasn't buying what Cam was trying to sell but it looks like after a few games Sturm seems to be getting through.

A trip to the Island this week....home with Ottawa and then a home and home with the Leafs.

11-7 and tied for 1st in the Atlantic! 7 in a row....8 and 2 in their last 10 :psyduck:

There is something to be said when you have one dude with the scoring talent on the team and he still scores consistently.

I really wasn't buying the whole we will work hard and be tough to play against approach Cam was selling but that doesn't really matter. Somehow Sturm has gotten them to buy in.

Pasta with 400 and 401 against a sad looking Leafs squad.

Swayman wasn't particularly good but he didn't have to be until the Leafs tried to play for 15 minutes.

To be somewhat fair their recent opponents seem to all have their own issues outside of Carolina.

The Atlantic is fairly weak and I would assume Montreal and Tampa wind up 1 and 2....but for now we'll take it. They seem motivated and Pasta looks like he is having fun.

I suppose I would be wrong if I didn't mention Chara's induction into the HHOF this week. Congrats to Z and his cushy front office job!
