Huberdeau much improved

Post by harmfuljays »

As a fan I've about had it with this guy. He quite frequently looks like he's giving half effort out there.

Today in this game 3 Giveaways on the PP....offsides on the PP......passing up opportunities to Rooney?......he needs Montgomery/Pastrnak treatment for the rest of the game.

Unacceptable. This guy reminds me of the bloated upper management at a corporation. Works a few hours just enough to be seen, deflects his work on everyone else and collects a fat salary doing it. Never really giving a shit until the spotlight hits them, finds low hanging fruit or someone from above comes calling.

At this point I would just give Coronato his ice.

Kadri is almost at the point where he deserves his own seat filler thread as well.

Sadly these 2 are the leading forward point getters on this team. Can't believe we have to put up with these 2 until 2028. Its an improvement on last year but still tough to watch at times.

Honestly the rebuild take 4 year. Yes it will be tough to watch but they are not really hurting you. Pettersson performance, with $11.6 mil of cap space locked up seriously diminishes the teams chance at a cup. The good news is, he's obviously playing with injury, the only explanation for why both his shot and foot speed have fallen down so drastically. So depending on the injuries he may return to form. I don't think Kadri and Huberdeau at this point have any upside.................so enjoy the rebuild, and appreciate that they are helping the team tank for better draft pick.

LOL but this is like my 3rd time on a rebuild.......I don't think I have many more left in me!

To me its frustrating...but I understand why huska has his hands tied. PP in OT today....he sends out Huberdeau who proceeds to skate all over the place looking for the pass while passing up obvious shots.

I do enjoy watching the kids.....so trying to take it in stride....

I guess you just gotta accept what you are going to get with this dude. For 10.5 Million it seems rather ridiculous that I have to spend half the game watching him cough up the puck in the defensive zone or skate around on the perimeter.....and then he sees an opportunity and puts together a goal like this.

Still not a fan but it is improvement over just being a seat filler the entire time.

Time to let this guy off the hook. 21 goals on the season now he seems to have found fun and heart again. He's still not worth the fat contract but its not a complete disaster anymore.

Keep working hard Huberdeau. Its fan noted and appreciated.
