Three fights already, and none of them were the wrestling match-types, they came in swinging.
Not gonna lie, he's a fun player to watch, even someone like me who still thinks fighting should be banned yesterday. But I echo the growing sentiment that this is WAY too much. He's already taken a ton of damage. That's not even counting however many scraps he had in the minors before his callup. Someone in the Rangers organization needs to try and get him to chill a bit.

He's trying to show he can/will fight anyone. He'll chill out as soon as he feels his roster spot is solidified.

Some other former goons are chiming in like John Scott saying he needs to do more to protect himself. So long as it doesn't turn into these dumb wrestling matches, I'm all for it. Break out the film on the late, great Rick Rypien and learn how it's done.
I still think those "takedowns" at the end of these fights should be banned outright. Those are way more dangerous than anything the fists could do. A junior player died because of that, and former NHLer Ryan Flinn is lucky he didn't a few years ago.

Matt Rempe gets suspended 4 games for a blatant elbow to the head of Jonas Siegenthaler in last nights Rangers/Devils tilt. Wouldn't answer the bell with MacDermid for the previous hit on Nathan Bastian that also happened to earn him a match penalty, and then inexplicably waved buh-bye to him as he was being escorted off the ice.
