Well deserved. Hell of a career and he was the star of the team for many years, said all the right things during their rebuild and after his buyout.

It's a grand irony that his greatness covered up a regime that essentially didn't know what it was doing. They wasted a ton of his prime years with increasingly mediocre rosters.

Regardless, he's at the very least the second-greatest goalie in Rangers history, glad the organization wasted no time whatsoever in announcing his number retirement.

January 28th they'll retire his number.

Tickets to that game jumped from $200 to $1000 in 4 minutes since the announcement.
