Winningest American-born goaltender of all time.
It's clear that this year was the end of the road for him, I'm sorry to see that he never got his name on the Cup, but a good, long career nonetheless. He was by far the biggest reason the Americans had any shot whatsoever at Olympic gold back in Vancouver, and he was the best goalie in that tournament.

Anybody who calls Lucic a piece of shit is fine by me. Kudos on a fine career.

Re: Ryan Miller announces retirement
I met him at the Kings practice facility in west LA one summer when he was still a Canuck doing reps. What struck me was how technically sound and focused he was even in summer practice. He took some extra time to talk to my boy who was 6 years old at the time about how challenging hockey can be especially for goalies and was super supportive. Saw him a few months later at a restaurant in Beverly Hills after he was moved to the Ducks and he remembered us. Very nice guy - family man. Even though he beats to his own drummer, have all the time in the world for Miller. Stellar career and hall of famer to boot.
