I can see the headlines now... Seattle Kraken stumble out of the NHL gate: Krak-a-lacken!

Kraken sign former Hab D Gustav Olofsson.

Pretty highly regarded out of his draft, he hasn't stayed healthy enough to stick in the show.

Kraken add Ryan Donato and Riley Sheahan. More bodies.

Really not sure what to make of the inaugural Kraken. Quality grinders, basically rolling four third lines. Little high end talent.

It seems like the stats peeps think they're gonna be good defensively. Almost sounds like the expansion Wild.
Thanks Chuck, E.L. and Harmy!

I'm still shocked an organization that embraced analytics even before they hired an analytics-savvy GM went so big and heavy on the blueline. Also kinda baffled as to why they made such a big financial commitment to a middle-tier starting goaltender. I figured they knew they weren't going to see the pieces fall together as perfectly for them as they did for Vegas but they still made some curious decisions despite that.

Pre-season games have been great so far. Really interesting stuff as they build Climate Change arena.......great segment on making that sustainable. Good Segment on Alaska and the Kraken. Overall really good stuff out of KONG in Seattle in addition to the Kraken.

I might go check out a game this season.

I love the name of the Arena! Rolls off the tongue...

Glad to have a nearby rival for the Canucks - should provide a lot of future fun times.

No no no, it's not Climate Change Arena (though that would be more apt), it's Climate

Such a pretentious name, and from a corporation that is no doubt a major source of carbon emissions.

In their first real game they got hosed on a terrible kicked in goal call. Welcome to the NHL, Kraken!

Yeah I didn't love that call. Good game overall, much better than watching the Bolts sleepwalk through their opener.

The Kraken raised the Metropolitans 1917 Stanley Cup banner last night against the Habs. Seattle and Montreal meet in that final, and again in 1919 (that one was called off due to Spanish Flu).

Good god, Grubauer has been horrendous. They've got a 5v5 save% of like 850.
Thanks Chuck, E.L. and Harmy!
