That's a decent bet there.

Last man left Bobby Ryan was a healthy scratch the other night. Looking like his career might wind down in Ottawa in obscurity.

Bobby Ryan has left the team to enter the NHL's player assistance program. Best of luck to him, he had a rough upbringing.

Still can't believe "Ryan" isn't his real name.

Wouldn't be a Sens season without players making headlines for all the wrong reasons off the ice, would it!

This time it's Nikita Zaitsev forcibly taking his kids from his ex-wife. While we obviously don't know the details, this shit looks all kinds of fucked up.

My GOD, we have a trade!

The #Sens have acquired defenceman Mike Reilly from Montreal for a fifth-round pick in 2021 and forward Andrew Sturtz.
I think E.L. was onto something when he said Reilly wears out his welcome wherever he goes...

Yup, he's a smooth skater and occasionally makes a brilliant play, but he otherwise does nothing on the ice and seems mostly uncoachable. Not a bad player, but just doesn't do enough.

Good problem to have? The rebuilding Sens could be 21M below the salary floor this offseason: https://www.tsn.ca/ottawa-senators-pass ... -1.1449580" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They also have a bajillion draft picks in June.

I've always wondered what the "threshold" is on stockpiling picks. In that I mean that there comes a point that you have to parlay some of those picks for something else because you can't use them all and expect to stay under the 50-contract limit. Question is...will Pierre be allowed to bring in a big-ticket player?

Lol unless they start dealing picks everyone else besides the Sens and Wings can just sit out the 2nd round.
Thanks Chuck, E.L. and Harmy!

Maybe they'll move some pics for veteran presence (and payroll). Being like $25 million below the floor, they will wind up helping some teams in "cap hell".
Posting your political views on social media is like sticking your head up your ass & whispering: You're just as likely to change someone's mind, and you'll always come out looking like a shithead.

Ottawa rumoured to be getting KHL defenceman Artem Zub to replace Dylan Demelo as a solid minute eater.

True to being the league's most unpredictable owner, I actually think Melnyk is going to want to do something splashy this offseason. No big free agent will want to come here, but I do think they'll pull off a trade or two. Would Turris want to come back and recapture his past successes?

That'll be really hard to do without Mark Stone.
