Wings game 50: Wings at Lightning

Post by Bosc »

Huge game. Wings are riding a 6-game winning streak. They have to lose sometime, but it would be great to see a win against one of the conference and league's best teams. Go Wings.

Jurco is back.

When in the heck are these two teams taking a few days off? The Habs still have a few games in hand and it's throwing the standings out of whack.

To elaborate a little, even though Detroit had been on a 6-game winning streak they had been having some bad stretches of hockey(Buffalo 1st period - 3 goals, Minnesota 3rd period - 3 goals to tie it, Florida - gave up 2 in 2nd and 3rd to make it 5-4 Det). These aren't the greatest teams. Mrazek's play had dropped a bit. They were primed to lose to an excellent Tampa team that produces a lot of offense but is also good in their own end.
