Great players but they have a bunch of career to play out if they hope to catch up to Hull.
Not to mention the other guy with 4 Art Ross, 2 Harts, 6 time first-team All Star. They had also had a pretty good goalie during that era. The only knock was that they probably could/should have won more than 1 Cup.
Tony Espo, Chelios, Denis Savard...Toews and Kane are great and have 2 Cups, but they still have long careers ahead of them before they catch up to some of the All-Time greats. And that's not a knock on them at all.
It's kind of weird comparing accomplishments made in the Original 6 era to ones in the 30 team era.
Is it safe to say that the Blackhawks have never had the best player in the game on their team at any point in time?
Why are we talking about Reimer? Crawford ain't moving anywhere so acquiring him would just make the goaltending more expensive.
Brent Seabrook is overvalued, he'd be a good trade chip. Hjalmarsson provides more for the dollar than Seabrook does for the Hawks going forward, especially since Leddy is more than willing to step up.
The Hawks are $2m over the cap for this year, so they can take something back in a Seabrook/Sharp trade as well.
