Bravo Fluto Shinzawa! A well written article discussing what to do with Milan.

Unfortunately in an age gone by Milan would be worth 6 million a year. Those days are gone now and as the article describes a North South skater that bangs has a limited life span. I am sure the Bruins would love to have him back for 3 million or so a year. He puts the Boston meatheads in the seats. Milan will certainly command far more on the market for himself.

Seems to be pretty straightforward test the season out , if it goes poorly send him where he wants for young ones. Chiarelli can make amends for Seguin and convince him to come to Edmonton and give us Hall back. Its probably a win for Milan as well.....gets a lot of talented kids dishing him the puck and doing all the carrying work. He in turn motivates and protects them. Closer to home as well.

I weep at the death of the Power Forward.....

He was never truly a power forward.

He lacked the foot speed of a true power forward.

Nice pipe dream trade there, Jay. :durr:

Charelli winning the Cup wasn't enough for Boston? Now he needs to send them Hall?

I think it was Jonathan Willis who commented on Twitter that a fan poll had a lot of Oilers fans in favor of sending Hall to Boston for Looch.

I say DO IT. Hall is a bona fide Av-killer.

Probably the same Oilers fans who voted that Eberle is better than Crosby.

How do they determine who they are fans of? Boston fans could have flooded that poll. Calgary fans could have voted for Eberle to make fun of Oil fans.

Ha Ha It is to laugh...regardless there is still a large market for a player of this caliber. The Oil have the talent to spare and perhaps Yakupov instead. F'n a man give them Krejci too.

Lucic is the closest thing Boston has had to a power forward since Cam Neely. There is no argument there. In the past his foot speed was just fine but the game is changing.

That doesn't change the fact that to move forward Boston has to deal him.

Bill Guerin was a power forward, I think you're leaning more to the 'kick some ass' element of being a power forward than the 'score goals' part if you're trying to draw the line from Neely to Lucic.

Bruce is right in that Looch ain't exactly a power forward, not if "power forward" is defined by guys like Guerin, Neely, Howe, etc. He's probably closer to Tim Kerr than he is any of those other guys.

But Jay is also right in that there's likely a pretty big market for him on the trade block. There shouldn't be, but owners and GMs will be inquiring about him, no doubt. In fact I'd say it'd be much easier for Sweeney to trade Lucic than Krejci.

Oh, I'd still call Lucic a PF. And yeah, there's a market for him no doubt about it, and the return will seem high.

Agreed on all points. Someone will remember what he was and take a chance that he can get it back.
