Ron Duguay

Post by harmfuljays »

Recently at work there has been a lot of discussion about Ron Duguay.

He certainly was a handsome man with his love locks flying in the breeze. Apparently one of the ladies here at work used to have quite the thing for old Ron (she was definitely not the only one)

He is currently an Analyst on MSG.

He had quite the career in hockey.

Perhaps some of you older Wings fans know him and can share some stories.

He was like the Joe Namath of hockey.
Drafted 13th by the Rangers & 3rd by the Jets, both in '77.

I don't have any real stories about his flowing locks or good looks. Just that he was a good player for the Rangers, Red Wings, etc. His TV analysis is good. But he does need to cut the flow at this point. He's 57.

He had a couple of decent years for us in the mid 1980's. He was a high scoring centre who didn't do really well in his own zone. The Red Wings were a really young team just starting under the Jimmy Devellano regime. Steve Yzerman was just starting his career. We had Brad Park at the end of his career, Joey Kocur, Bob Probert, Gerard Gallant and Shawn Burr were just starting their's. I remember vaguely that the young women did like him.

Just saw that. Didn't recognize him without the trademark locks.

This is also an approved look from the ladies at work. Something about NY brings out the fashion folks. A 9 minute expose on Ron's makeover!

If I had mad flow like that well into my fifties I'd NEVER cut it.

If I'd had flow like that into my twenties I'd never have cut it.
