George Richards wraps things up:

http://miamiherald.typepad.com/flapanth ... right.html

Obviously the Panthros will have nowhere NEAR as a crazy an offseason as they did in 2011, but there will still be some changes.

It would be a serious blow if they lost Garrison to free agency, but I'm guessing that will happen. Glad to see the gamble of signing Theodore to replace Vokoun worked out quite well. A Theo/Markstrom tandem next season could be quite dominant in the SE.

No doubt this team desperately needs a 2nd line center. Goc/Matthias/Santorelli clearly aren't adequate. Is Huberdeau ready?

Hubie's going to be a centre, like most creative playmakers are.

And he's ready if he bulks up this summer, that's really all that's keeping him from NHL stardom.

Won't speculate on a lineup since I don't think Tallon's quite done yet.

The Cats still have Campbell and Kulikov (and uh, Jovo), so there's still talent on the blueline, but the loss of Garrison is still huge. The Cats could also use an actual scoring winger for their 2nd line, unless they want Huberdeau to do all the work himself.

Fleischmann, Mueller, and now Svatos is in Florida on a tryout basis.

http://blogs.denverpost.com/avs/2013/01 ... ota/12146/

Tallon likes former Avs almost as much as he likes his old players in Chicago.

Apparently Alex Kovalev is trying out for the team as well. Andrei Kostitsyn declined an invite to camp.

If they do indeed sign Svatos this might be the most injury-prone roster in NHL history.

They should ensure it & trade for DPahole!

Svatos doesn't make the cut, Kovalev does.

Kulikov still not signed.

Jovo named captain, though no word on who will wear the C for the majority of games in which Jovo will be hurt.

Boy, what a leader. One day you kids out there can be tremendously overpaid and only holding a roster spot due to being an aging former star making a ton of money!

HUBERDEAU, THAT'S WHAT.

He, Kovy and Campbell are going to will this team into the playoffs.

Is it just me or has Weiss been traded a million times already?

I hope if they're in it by deadline they won't be afraid to add a rental or two.

The Post-Garrison era is not exactly off to a stellar start.

The Panthros appear to be stabilizing a little at least, and look at who's making waves.

http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/drew_shore/

Hoobastank ain't the only rookie on the team making waves.

Jesus. First they pull the plug on Weiss, now Versteeg is out for the season.

That pick has been looking bad for a couple years now. Classic 'guy who matured early' type pick instead of a guy picked due to advanced talent levels.

All aboard the retread express!!!!

Tallon offering camp invites to Brad Boyes, Tim Thomas, and Ilya Bryzgalov. I believe Boyes has accepted, but the Right Wing Warrior and the Master of the Universe have not yet responded.

Markstrom by all accounts should be ready for a full-time gig, but it probably wouldn't hurt to have someone better than Scott Clemmensen backing him up, or even someone who could form a tandem. As for Boyes...eh, why not? It's not like the Panthros are going to win the Flortheast this season.

That is some funny shit.....even though its rather misleading because it is 2:30 in the Afternoon on a Monday. Obviously the team isn't too concerned about fan attendance with a time like that.
