Pfft. Why not, the Winter Asslick is a joke anyway.

Why do you say that? The Heritage Classic, especially the last one, was a joke, but I have zero problems (at least with the idea of it) the Winter Classic.

WTF, how is one a joke and not the other? They're exactly the same.

Seriously, if anything out of the two the Heritage Classic is the one that is not a joke because at least you know it will be cold enough for outdoor hockey and won't be raining. Maybe Av has them confused?

No, actually I'm not. The only problem I have with the Heritage is scheduling, specifically the one last season that saw both teams playing on slush. Way too late, even in Canada, to play outdoors like that.

I dont' have any problems whatsoever with the NHL holding an outdoor game, though IMO they should only have one.

I was at that game last year Habs vs. Flames in Calgary - it was fucking freezing! Most of the slush was in people's cups as their beers froze over  . I think there were ice condition problems but it was because it was actually too cold.

I wasn't really serious about the Heritage Classic being a joke, I just think there should only be one outdoor game a year. Still not sure why either are "a joke" though.

Ya I had a great weekend. Pretty big contingent of friends made it out from Montreal and some good Calgary peeps as well. Game itself was fun but by the 2nd period I was dying, I have been in California too long to handle that weather!

It would be nice to see all this crap be put to rest. Not sure if Renberg will be there. The guy is still playing in Sweden I think.

Amazing how fragile the members of the "Legion of Doom" line became later in their respective careers.

Bob is getting the start, not Bryz.

Here is Bryz's quote:

Quote:
I have great news and even better news. OK, great news is I’m not playing tomorrow night ..and better news is we have a chance to win the game tomorrow night.

Maybe Derek Morris and Adrian Aucoin were right after all. Bryz needs to clear his head and just focus on the game.

Also, another gold quote from Bryz:

Quote:
Reporter: What's your mindset for tomorrow?

Bryz: Well, I make sure I have my thermos and fill it with some tea. Then I am going to enjoy the bench.

Lavy and the management are none too thrilled about what he did today.
