GAMEDAY THREAD: Clitsome of this!

Post by Pokecheque »

I was tempted to take that name in a different direction, but this is a family site. :eng101:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_d ... um=twitter" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So, yeah...this game will not be broadcast anywhere, which is all well and good since I can't get Avs games on TV apart from bootleg feeds anyway. Still, seems like the NHL shoots itself in the foot with deals like this.

A desperate Columbus team will host the Avs at they're VERY most desperate, trying to avoid the very ignominious mark of going 0-4 to start the season and 0-3 at home. The Avs just need to continue this road trip right, but perhaps improving upon that 0.5 goals-per-game average might be a key to victory tonight.

What's up with that? Altitude has something better to show?

I heard the Tim McCarver show is being shown right now. :suicide:

Just bitched at whatever idiot is currently running the NHL's Twitter feed:
The NHL on Twitter wrote:Watching #Avs vs. #CBJ right now? Follow live reaction to this game in real time on Twitter: on.fb.me/pwz7Td Click Head to Head!
I on Twitter, wrote:No, we can't watch it, IT'S NOT TELEVISED!!!
This better not have anything to do with the blackout rules regarding national broadcasts. If so, once again the fucking league is shooting themselves in the foot.

Aaron Portzline is reporting there are 27 scouts in attendance for tonight's game. Botta followed up with some perspective--NY is usually a big destination for scouts and he has never seen more than 20 there for a given contest.

Good God...the Avs certainly more physical, but the offense is nonexistent. This has to be addressed, I don't care if it's 3 games into the season or not.

How is it even possible that coaching and management is inept to the point of not allowing Peter Mueller to get a conditioning stint in Lake Erie (or at the very least putting him in a smaller role) instead of just throwing him out there on a line w/Dutch and Duke and expect him to start scoring right away. It's clear the kid is not in game form or condition, and that's to be expected after missing an entire year. The Avs' idea to fix this is just hope it works itself out in time!?

Looks like we'll be seeing a coaching change before things get better.

Avs just barely manage to force overtime...and GABRIEL LANDESKOG with his first NHL career goal! Redirected from a shot by none other than disgruntled former BJ Jan Hejda.

Three goals in three games. Woo hoo!

EDIT: No, they're giving it to Hejda for now. Lando will have to wait.

Hey you're still 2-1 to start the season with only 3 goals to show. If this was the Leafs, they would already be selling Stanley cup tickets.
