Exactly. This just feels like a shot-in-the-dark deal for both sides in the desperate hope that a change of scenery will yield better results.E.L. wrote:Norris is a better player than Cozens when healthy. He’s just never healthy.
Buffalo fans are likely breathing a HUGE sigh of relief that J.J. Peterka didn't get flipped, his name came up in the rumor mill.
I thought Adams had a decent-enough start to his tenure but he's gone nowhere fast. And the "palm trees" comment is going to follow him everywhere now. Can't imagine he'll last much longer, same with Lindy.

I simply don't know what rock bottom is for this franchise.
If Dylan Cozens becomes yet another star who left and then won a Stanley Cup, that'll be close.

Re: Frustration
This team just keeps finding new and exciting ways to suck. I simply cannot turn away.

I tried looking up the video for it, you can find it all over social media, but this link popped up on the Google search and I find it hilarious that even THE TIMES OF INDIA felt the need to report on the suckage of the Buffalo Sabres.
So in case you didn't know, the Sabres were trailing 3-2 with the goalie pulled, the Utah Hockeys got called, but instead of just handing the puck over to them and setting up a 6-on-4, Tage Thompson sends a hard pass (all while Rob Ray is yelling "GIVE THEM THE PUCK!") past Rasmus Dahlin and into his own net. The game ended 5-2.
To add injury to insult, Dylan Cozens has been red hot since heading over to Ottawa while Josh Norris is out.

That's awesome. I mean awful. That's awful.
Posting your political views on social media is like sticking your head up your ass & whispering: You're just as likely to change someone's mind, and you'll always come out looking like a shithead.
Re: Frustration
Seravalli saying the Sabres could be looking to sell Power, Peterka, Tuch and more as they try once again to wash the stink of failure from their roster.

Re: Frustration
Power is the one guy who, if he turns into a legit winner like all the other Buffalo castoffs have, I'd be a bit surprised. He hasn't impressed me at all thus far, and Buffalo threw money at him way, WAY too early.
Anyway, Eric Staal hired as a special assistant to the GM, Jarmo Kekalainen hired as a consultant. Feels like there's a sandwich of potential replacements squeezing Kevyn Adams, won't be surprised if they once again get off to a horrid start that one of them takes his job.

Re: Frustration
Kekalainen didn’t do much to warrant a second chance after Columbus, but I’d imagine he went into the room with Pegula and said he got Johnny Hockey sign to with small-market Columbus and that he could bring a star to Buffalo.
I think that matters in the small market sphere. Kek also drafted well. Just don’t let him hire Torts.
