Late with this but the Hawks fire Luke Richardson, hand the reins over to some Swedish guy I've never heard of.

I've no idea if Richardson is a great coach, or even a good one, but he's no doubt a good man who took the tragedy of his daughter's suicide and turned it into a good cause that no doubt has saved a number of young lives. The Blackhawks don't deserve a guy like that.

The Hawks didn't want Bedard taking his licks alone, but that's basically what's happened in Chicago.

He's good, but he's not McDavid good. He needs help.

Donato is scoring but he'll get traded. Teravainen at least can provide offence. Bertuzzi sucks. Nazar is starting his career ok but he's another small centre.

Donato apparently has more even strength goals than McDavid and MacKinnon. That's something.

Reportedly Jones would only waive his trade protection for two places, Florida and Dallas. NOT his childhood home in Denver. According to Friedman, Dallas couldn't put together a deal that worked but I've also read they weren't interested (not sure I buy that).
