Rempe sucks and I think he's part of the equation of why the team sucks.

He's not an NHL calibre hockey player. Not even close. He's also, despite his intimidating size, not a good fighter. Arber Xhekaj and Mathieu Olivier have already beat the shit out of him this season.

So why is he there? Sell tickets? He took a stupid roughing penalty that cost them the game against Montreal.

It's not even a Reaves thing where he used to be a decent player and brings 1000 games of leadership. Rempe has and always will be an ECHL freakshow that they're inexplicably putting into the lineup.

PTSD from the Tom Wilson incident? I guess so.

Rempemania! swept the entire hockey world when he got called up and that's all they can see. He's a fucking moron who continually takes stupid, selfish penalties every chance he gets and they keep thinking he'll change. He won't, because the entire reason he's even in the Big Show is because of antics like that.

I guess according to Friedge J.T. Miller was set to be scratched due to a trade in the last Canucks game because of a pending deal with the Rangers, but it fell apart at the last minute.

Is JT Miller ultimately just a selfish hockey player? Here he is on the lost art of giving a fuck. Clearly targeted at EP40. It's a bit much.

Yeah, Miller calls out teammates for things he himself is guilty of. He's had a well-established rep of dogging it on defense and sometimes taking entire shifts (sometimes even entire GAMES, just ask Tocchet) off. Yet he's this "great competitor." Yeah...I think he's just a big loudmouth jerk who happens to be good at the hockey.

Calvin De Haan is about to drop some good info. Mollie Walker, Rangers beat writer, said he walked past the press crew saying he was glad it was about to be over. They asked for more info and he said the way he's been treated has been fucked. Said he'll tell them more later on. Looking forward to it! :woop: I like De Haan. I hate the Rangers. So I'm bummed for him that he was treated poorly but happy he'll throw them under the bus. :D

First time in NHL history the Rangers, Bruins, and Penguins all missed the playoffs.

Interesting stuff from de Haan.

Sounds like the PR folks scrambled like hell and got de Haan to calm down, so Walker won't be getting that feature story after all. I don't blame her one bit for trying though.

But it ain't like this is the first player who had unkind words to say about the current iteration of the New York Rangers. From the whole Trouba mess to other departing players like Kakko torching the place on their way out, to this. Don't know how much of this is an inexperienced GM in way over his head or a hapless, incompetent, meddlesome owner trying everything to get a team with extremely high expectations and a really expensive roster back on track.

Drury was a player in the not too distant past. He couldn't be that out of touch with how to handle today's players, could he? And De Haan is a veteran, not some kid looking to be coddled.

I just hope this helps keep people from signing with these assholes.

The problem is I think Drury is just a Dolan mouthpiece. I think ownership is meddling too much with this team.

Yeah, we all know how Drury got the job. That’s pretty much been informing all his decisions.

The Rangers more or less saw some real success because Dolan was busy continually ruining the Knicks. But then they somehow finally got good and so Dolan turned his focus on the Rangers and, well, you can see the result.

I still think this collapse would’ve likely happened had Gorton and Davidson still been in charge, but the current regime has made it happen much faster and about five times more dramatic.

Well then, pardon me while I go make a few hundred social media accounts to attack Dolan to "do somehting right fugging now!".

If it’s worth your while you can buy all the albums Dolan’s jazz band has made and tell him you’re a big fan of his work!

Hell no! I want him poking his nose into every tiny decision the Rangers make! Being a royal pain in the ass. Making roster decisions...

Had to scroll through de Haan's Twitter account (pretty confident I know which party he's voting for in the upcoming Canadian elections, and which one he supports fully in the US) to find his statement. All I have to say is...yikes. Even by the standards of most pro athletes (it's a lifestyle that really appeals to the conservative mindset) it was a lot to sift through.

I'm hardly ever on X anymore, it's such a cesspool of rotten, horrible people, so here's what he said.
Going to get ahead of this now…

I was hoping that I would have been able to express in a scrum setting versus a quote as I was going onto the ice and having it on the Internet 30 seconds later. I said what I said because I am frustrated , and any competitor who says that they would be happy in this position would be lying to you. After playing 3 games for the team and going 2-0-1 , I thought I maybe would have got an opportunity to jump into the lineup and help win some games

Did I help win those games I played, maybe? Maybe not? But we still won and collected some crucial points to climb the standings. I understand the youth movement in the nhl, and I’m getting older in hockey years and I may not play every single night. I feel like I can still contribute and help teams win. I know I’m not going to play 20 minutes a night in the role I’ve been in the past few years , but again I feel like I can still keep up and help a team in certain facets of the game.

I’m not trying to be the villain or gain attention or throw shade on the organization , I would have preferred a scrum setting to chat about how my time with the rangers has gone. As a player you have to respect the lineup decisions whether you like them or not, it’s just been frustrating not being able to compete and do what I love to do. I hope everyone understands.
Don't like at all how he seemingly throws Mollie Walker under the bus. Dude, you're not a fucking idiot, if you're going to say things that inflammatory in today's day and age, you KNOW it's getting posted and it's going viral. This ain't 1990, things don't wait until they make it onto TV or tomorrow's newspaper.

Anyway, the gripe itself is understandable. Team gets 5 out of 6 points in the three games he plays, and then Laviolette just throws him in the press box for the remainder of the season. I get it, dude is fighting for his NHL career.
