What now?

Malkin's home was burglarized and his three Stanley Cup rings were missing. After a day of gathering evidence, cops found the rings very much within the house. Fucking slob had the cops find shit he'd lost in his own home! https://www.pensburgh.com/2025/1/17/243 ... e-his-home

Another clear sign the Pens are blowing it up, they do the Stars a solid and take on the final year of Matt Dumba's contract in return for a 2028 2nd rounder. They also send a scrub the other way, whatever.
Re: What now?
Sounds like a tanking for McKenna move.

They'll have to do a hell of a lot more than that.

How low can Malkin and Letang go? They’ll play a lot even though they’re both on a steep decline.

Yeah, those two are probably cooked. No idea about Karlsson, though I don't think he's anywhere near as capable as that cap hit anymore.E.L. wrote: Fri Jul 11, 2025 10:06 pm How low can Malkin and Letang go? They’ll play a lot even though they’re both on a steep decline.
I'm guessing they want to tank it one year and maybe try a quick retool so that Sid gets to usher in the next generation. They tried that with Mario and Sid way back when, and it probably would've worked a little better if not for the Pens financial troubles at the time and Mario's heart abruptly forcing him to retire again.

Dubas slammed EK in the end of season presser, saying “His actions have to match his ambitions.”

Re: What now?
Pens were, up until recently, the hottest team in hockey. A lot of that was due to Tristan Jarry, who is now out for some time after the 4-3 meltdown against the Leafs.
