Tampa vs Isles. There's no way I could not pick the Isles. This is the first time since I was a senior in high school they've made it this far.

Vegas is going to trounce the Stars. Not a fair fight.

And what the hey, I'm going to pick the Isles too, even if logically it makes no sense. Falling apart and then demolishing the Flyers in game 7 was impressive.

Eh....I've already semi checked out. Fortunately, the Isles are still around so that will cause me to tune in. The trap fest the Stars used yesterday doesn't help.

Otherwise the rest of these teams only invoke a passing interest. I'll watch because I love hockey but I won't be glued to it or changing my plans to work around it.

I was so exhausted after watching that cursed series against the Stars that I was almost relieved it was over. I tuned in for a bit of last night's game before the wife and I sat down to wrap up The Handmaid's Tale and was quite pleased to see the Stars collapse on themselves like...well, a star. Hopefully Vegas keeps it up. Other than really wanting Dallas to get turfed, I don't have a dog in this fight. I guess I kinda/sorta want to see Tampa win out because I like it when very talented teams win the Big Prize, but other than that...meh.

Lehner shut out the Stars and now Kyper is saying he's wink wink nudge nudged a 5×5M extension in LV.

Yanni Gourde had a horrible cold streak this season for the Bolts that lasted months, but with Stammer and now Point out he's come alive. Dude is relentless, I cant believe he had such bad shooting luck this season.

The Dallas Fucking Stars are one Fucking game away from the Stanley Cup finals. Their coach is a million billion years old.

Personally, I think Rick Bowness being the Star's bench boss on this Cup run is a nice story. Apparently he has coached or worked with almost every single player in the league and never won a Cup. He interacts with everyone he meets and is universally admired as one of the most genuine nice guys in the the league. Been in the league as a coach for over 40 years. His presence hasn't really been factored into any stats sheets. Love that.
