Is anyone else getting weird unsolicited emails from the NHL about sports betting?

This is just really tacky....

Did you do a bracket challenge? Maybe from doing that? I started to do one, saw there was a mile of fine print and bailed on it.
I've found the betting commercials during games to be really annoying.

I don't mind sports betting! There are lots of people that love that stuff but its not for me. I like my money too much to gamble like that. If I am going to piss it away I'll go to Oga's cantina at Disney Land and drink booze or buy an Iron Maiden pinball machine!

I don't care if people want to bet. I just find the commercials really annoying. Not sure about on other feeds, but the Isles have their regular broadcast team doing pre-game and post-game shows. There are Fan Duel ads with a guy sitting in his home office that just look so bad, and he's annoying. Trying to emphasize too many words in each sentence! The view of his home office- I just keep thinking "this is what many 'cam girls' see of this guy." Well, maybe a bit more.

I've known people who've tried these betting sites where it's like "your first $500 of losses are on us!". If you win, you have an impossible time getting your money out.

I also find the increase of opportune phantom penalties (last night during OT in the Flyers/Isles game) from the "Game Managers" to be on the rise this year...so to send out an NHL sponsored bet on our sports email is a bit iffy. But hell everything in life is somewhat rigged so why not this?

Even the "good" betting sites will tell you to take a hike if you win too much.

Yikes...this must be huge business. Its legal here in Colorado now...so they even announce the lines on the pre-game show and advertise.

Not my scene...but the boys seem to be super in to it.
