Shout out to Sportsnet as they re air some of the greatest series...tonight we start with 1993 Kings Vs Habs game 1 and 1989 Flames Vs Habs. I get to shout things I never thought I would shout again like damn you Damphousse! I get to see ol Lyle Odelein out there...and holy shit that's a Kirk Muller sighting........1993 was one of my favorite stanley cup runs and the leafs/kings series is one of my all-time favs. And of course its Harry Neale and Bob Cole. Those were the days gents!

LOL so here I am watching the 89 Flames and Habs....was there a better team than the 93 habs? The D on both those teams was HOF shit except for Brisebrois.

Russ Courtnall on this one along with Chris Chelios and god damn Stephane Richer, Bob Gainey and Larry Robinson?.....was there any wonder why the Habs were dominant for many decades? Shayne Corson was good here as well...at least I get to see Gary Roberts tonight!

Almost 10 years later and that Game 7 victory over the Canucks still warms my heart! What a run that year.

None of that happens without that Nathan Horton OT goal in Game 7 against the Habs.

There have been a lot of Bettman Cup presentations I have witnessed lately and damn did that Vancouver crowd let him have it that year!

Okay I hate you now, but I'll get over it in a one or 17 days or so.

Thought I'd improve your accuracy.

huge props to sportsnet for airing old games. Watching 94 Leafs Vs Nucks tonight. Forgot how much I grew up on this hockey and its been great to put this on and remember old times.

Craven, Linden, Adams, Bure, Momesso......Babych...Lumme.....F'n Gino!

Gartner, Dougie....Macoun....Eastwood....Andreychuk...Zezel...Wendel....

Felix Vs Kirk!

Man these teams were great!

Even though I may not have been into Hockey 24....Sportsnet has done a good job during this trying time.

It's kinda tough sometimes watching Dead Puck Era stuff. The Avs in their prime were a dynamic offensive team but watching highlights (even the 2001 Cup team) makes it look like they're moving in slow motion compared to today's players.

It's made even worse by the crappy film quality.

Its the Best Of Habs/Bruins week on NESN........sadly it brings up the fact that there were not a lot of BEST OF moments for the Bruins against the Habs.

I was unhappily watching the 2004 playoff meltdown where the Bruins went up 3-1......and it brought back unpleasant memories of Zednik and Kovalev and that damn guy Mike Ribiero. I believe this was my Cut down the tree moment after they lost in Game 7!

At least they firesaled Joe after that and disassembled what was a pretty decent team..but i guess a collapse against the Habs will do that.
