Even if they manage to outdo the Avs' mark of futility I still don't think it ranks as worse because this Wings team went into the season knowing full well they were gonna suck. Colorado was in the midst of a transition (a rather abrupt one) but they were hoping for more than just a tank year.

For some reason known only to the Hockey Gods, Detroit beat Boston last night for the second time this season. The final was 3 - 1 and Jonathan Bernier stood on his head all night long. Andreas Athanasiou scored two goals last night. His first goal-scoring night in 20 games.

Wings manage to beat not only a desperate Blackhawks squad, they also beat the mighty Bolts in a shootout and halt a losing streak to Tampa that dates back to 2016(!).

That Tampa losing streak was bruuuuuutal. But then, the Wings are and the Bolts aren't, so...

Even though Tampa had played Boston the night before and was not at full strength it was still really good to finally get that damn primate off our backs.
