Haven't been able to watch enough. I should read up a bit on his progress.

Filip Zadina with his first NHL goal, and if it hadn't been for a leaky backup goalie, it would've been a game-winner.

He was really solid throughout too, also drew a hooking penalty earlier in the game.

Loved the confidence that he showed with the puck on one play holding it inside his own line to make a move on an Av, bringing it up and getting a decent shot off(controlled exit and entry!). He'll get better and learn that you can generate a better attack making quick passes. Those shots might have beat junior goalies but the NHL is another level.

Wings sign Princeton F Ryan Kuffner to a two-year deal. Put up some points in the Ivy League, but he went undrafted and isn't considered a sure bet by any means.

They also nabbed Taro Hirose, who had an assist in his game last night.

Shit...I totally forgot the Wings snagged Joe Veleno with a late pick!

And it's kinda pointless to coulda/woulda/shoulda with draft picks, and I think Zadina is gonna be all kinds of awesome, but man if Quinn Hughes ends up being as good as they say...

I'd hate for Trevor Zegras to fall into Detroit's hands, but think of all the marketing opportunities if he and Zadina line up together eventually, and maybe then they convince Zetterberg to have one last go.

Damn...why did they delete that tweet? Moritz was showin' off his lovely mane of hair.

So it appears that Yzerman & Co. were locked on Seider, and were looking to trade down as a result. When no deal happened they just stood pat and took their player anyway.

Can't help but think Tyler Wright played a part as well. He's said before he likes bigger players, and they took one of the BIGGEST players in this draft.

Has a good all-around skillset, the knock on him is that he won't blow you away with end-to-end rushes and elite finishing moves, or booming shots from the point. His offense is almost exclusively about making plays.

Pronman gave the Wings a solid B in their draft. He felt they reached for both Seider and Antti Tuomisto, but god good value in later rounds with Robert Mastrosimone (his linemate, Leafs pick and fellow Italian-American Nicholas Abruzzese, led the USHL in scoring this season, thanks in part to him) and Albin "Brad Marchand is my favorite player" Grewe.

Maybe not the ridiculous home run Detroit scored in last year's draft, but certainly not bad either, especially if Seider ends up as good as Stevie Y thinks he is.

Seider's a funny dude. This is hilarious.

Arbitrator gives Bertuzzi $3.5 million. Not sure if this is fair or not given his value but the Wings have cap space to spare, this should be pretty inconsequential.

Good deal, sign him long-term now.

Wings will pick sixth overall. Yzerman was the one guy who didn’t even really pretend to hide his annoyance.

But there’s good news, Skip. This is pretty much the “pick that goalie prospect” spot.

Petruzelli, whose rights Detroit lost after he finished 4 years at Quinnipac and didn't sign, was also tall at 6'5.

He signed with the Marlies.

Jared McIsaac took an ugly-looking hit from behind in the propects tourney but apparently is ok. I had completely forgotten about him last year to be honest. He was looking like a good prospect for a while. Not sure where his stock is right now.
