Had three years left at 5.5M AAV. The game got faster while Dan got slower.

The Rangers will now be paying him till 2023.

Damn it. I liked him being on their blue line. He was so slow.

Didn't Damien Cox rank him higher than Karlsson on his Norris ballot?

That tweet was from 2012.

I figured that was a resurrected tweet, but it's still ridiculous.

He should have had his right to vote revoked after that, regardless of the year.

Kevin Klein announces his retirement at the age of 32.

http://nypost.com/2017/07/07/kevin-klei ... t-defense/

Not entirely sure how this lineup is gonna shake out.

Vesey - Zibanejad - Nash
Kreider - Hayes - Zuccarello
Buchnevich - Miller - Grabner
Puempel - Desharnais - Fast

McDonagh - Shattenkirk
Staal - Holden
Skjei - Smith

Lundqvist
Pavelec

That don't look like a contender to me, but whatever.

Surprised the Rangers didn't make a push for Radulov or someone. They still have cap room following the Stepan deal and Nash is off the books next season.

Maybe they'll pick up someone else's cap casualty.

Girardi announces his retirement from the NHL after 13 seasons. It was a good run for him, probably a future in broadcasting awaits.
