Former Habs Director of Professional Scouting Vaughn Karpan is handling player personnel, and he brought over ex-Habs stat kid Matt Pfeffer.
They also brought in General Fanager's founder, hence the reason the site shut down.

It would certainly suck if they were allowed to make moves for current roster players. "Hey man, we traded for you! Now you get to sit out until October. Uh sorry about that. Try not to get too rusty."

McPhee & Capuano talking. If he gets hired, the Isles don't have to worry about protecting Strome. Capuano certainly wouldn't want him in the expansion draft.
