Apparently two broken vertebrae, a spinal contusion, and a concussion. Could have been much, much worse.

Even scarier than the collision is the absolutely HORRID level of incompetence displayed by the on-hand KHL medical staff. They basically prop him up and roll him over into the stretcher, don't even bother immobilizing him or use the fucking backboard. Unreal.
