Another potential late-season reinforcement for the Preds, although this time it's not Radulov.

Vesey's the perfect example of a green player who was allowed to flourish in Harvard thanks to patient management. Imagine that.

Vesey passes up a chance at the playoffs to presumably join his dad and the cellar dwelling Leafs this offseason.

Seems pretty clear Vesey is going to sign with the Leafs, who employ his father and drafted his brother. Obviously tampering has gone on. The league will definitely let this slide, though.

But would the Harvard folks keep Nashville away from him if the tampering was done by the Leafs? I would think they'd be concerned about being pulled into the middle of it all if they blocked a visit. They'd be better off letting them meet & saying they had nothing to do with any decisions he makes on his own.

Rights to Vesey traded to BUF for a 3rd rounder. Sabres have until Aug. 15 to sign him.

With the young centers there he would be a great fit for them. Hope they can make a case for it.
