No he's a leaf now, so the value will sky rocket, and he could also add to the advertisement:

"If you buy in the next 10 minutes, you will actually see the Leafs win the cup in June."

You just don't tell them in what year.

Well, guess who just received a personalized Red Wings home(Red) jersey? My buddy gave all of his groomsmen a jersey of their favorite team personalized with their name and number they wore. So I've got a #31 Johnston now(I didn't always wear 31 but that's the number I most remember wearing). I don't have a red Red Wings jersey, only whites.

And yeah, I'll wear it too :) I would never have bought it for myself but as a gift like this it's pretty cool :)

That is a sweet gift from the groom. I certainly wouldn't expect something that significant... other than free booze at the reception, which is probably more expensive than a personalized jersey anyways.

Yeah it was definitely unexpected and significant. Fantastic idea and much appreciated by everyone, seeing as how we were all pretty much sports nuts. He asked for our favorite teams before and made out like he was going to get tshirts for the stag and doe, but couldn't get them. Then one day he called about what number I wore growing up and that he and his brother were having a discussion about it, saying that he though that I wore #20 at some point. I never would have put those 2 things together to think that he was going to get us personalized jerseys.

I gave my groomsmen a big stein or pitcher of their favorite team(and a Ferrari tshirt for my bro-in-law), and then a bottle of booze that they really like.

Open bar, so free booze for everyone, not just the wedding party!
