Just submitted an email to all members.

’14 – 15 Collective Bargaining Agreement

Gentlemen:
Welcome aboard. Please accept my apologies for the significant delay on details. I am a busy man.

Read & heed. This is important. There are a lot of details as we continue to fine-tune the league and acquaint ourselves with keepers, draft pick trading, etc.

Please make note that our live, (non-snaking) draft is set:

Live Draft: Tue Oct 7 9:00pm EDT

*In snaking drafts, pick order reverses each round. So the team with the first pick in odd-numbered rounds gets the last pick. Non-snaking drafts do not reverse. In order to maintain the authenticity of previously traded picks, the league has elected to continue to maintain the non-snaking draft.

If you choose to auto pick, I highly suggest you keep tabs on any significant injuries & pre-rank if need be.

Your team is permitted 4 keeper players (3 skaters & 1 goalie). You do not have to keep players; this is merely an option if you feel it may benefit your organization. The draft pick compensation for keeping a player is as follows:

First year keepers:
Any player who was not kept the previous season will retain his draft spot from the previous season.

Second year (and beyond) keepers:
Any player who was kept the previous season and kept again will have his value increased (towards the 1st round) by 3 rounds. If a player cannot move up 3 rounds, he will move up as far as possible.

Traded / dropped keepers:
Any traded keeper or free-agent / waiver-wire acquired keeper will still be subject to move up 3 rounds if the new organization elects to keep the player the following season.

Traded draft picks:
Should an organization elect to keep a player and the compensatory draft pick is not available (traded the previous season), the keeper will move up to the next available draft position (towards the first round).

Free agent / waiver acquisitions:
Any players that were not previously drafted by you or another team & kept are assigned the lowest draft position available on your team & then subsequently move up 3 rounds each following year they are kept.

For your review, I have attached the draft results from the ’13 – ’14 season as well as the final rosters following the conclusion of the season. Thus keep in mind how you acquired any particular player you elect to retain for the upcoming season.

Once you select your keepers, please send an email to: ******* noting your team name and any players you intend on retaining. If at all possible, please do this by Sunday evening as I will be putting together a PDF of the players kept & the forfeited pick & submit it to each manager as I did last season.
DRAFT ORDER
The Pylons
Laps in Judgement
Arvada Antisocialites
Captain Canada
Puck You
Masterskaters
UTuzzULuzz
Big Test Icicles
The Hammers

As in the past, entry fee & criteria remains the same:
*If paying via Paypal, please add 3.9% + $0.30 which cover Paypal transaction fees (total of $52.25), otherwise, check or money order in the amount of $50.00.

Paypal address: (message me if you need this info)

or

(message me if you want this info too!)

**PLEASE BE SURE TO NOTE YOUR TEAM NAME ALONG WITH YOUR PAYMENT**

$50- entrance fee

$40- goes to the pot for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place (50%, 30%, 20% respectively) for final REGULAR SEASON standings.

Then the extra $10- from each club goes to the bonus of whoever wins the Championship.

If you are not cognizant of the above-outlined, please feel free to contact me for clarification. If for any reason you are not amiable to the criteria set-forth above & wish to vacate your team, kindly advise me at your earliest convenience so we may fill any vacant positions.

Gentlemen, good luck!

We will have to look into a way to deal with dealing first round picks next year. The way it stands now we would all be fools not to trade away the first rounder if your going to keeper the first round guy.

That's a concern I had after the matter when I was selecting my keepers.

For instance, I drafted Benn last season with my 5th pick & thus to keep him, I would use my 2nd pick to select him this season.

However, I also have Toew's on my roster & since he was drafted last year by another team in the 2nd round, his keeper cost moves up as high as can be (1st round pick). BUT, I dealt my 1st round pick last season, (coincidentally, for Toews) thus he too moves up to my next highest draft position.

Also consider however, while I elected to keep Toews, I dealt a 1st, 3rd & 15th pick for him (in exchange for Toews, 15th, 21th & 22th)

Let me brainstorm a little further. I am getting yelled at at the moment. I want to be fair obviously

I'll see what I can draft up for a rule here .... I don't have a problem dumping one of them.

"In the event a keeper player would occupy a draft spot that was previously traded, then that player can not be kept?"

Something like that?

I just sent my payment, thanks Butch!

Bad news - I'm going to miss the f*&^&ing draft again.

Good news - it's because I am going to the Giants game!

I'll pre-rank my picks, I have had some good results doing that.

Good luck everybody!

Kick ass! Enjoy the game (and the City!) I'm already sporting my Giants hat today.

Be wary of injuries ... particularly, hard-luck Jeff Skinner has yet another concussion .....

Always funny when you see a pick and you know someone didn't bother doing their pre-rankings in advance.

I'm pretty happy with my team though messed up some of the pre-rankings - why'd I take Garrison so high?! Lots of guys I'd rather have went in the 2-3 rounds after him.

But overall happy, so you suckas are going down!

BTW, if any of you noticed at certain times that I took a really long-ass time to make my picks, no, I was not cooking veggie chili, I was switching between my computer at work and the Yahoo mobile app, which was utter shit. I could view the draft and pull up players, but any time I hit the DRAFT THIS PLAYER button, nothing happened. Thankfully as time expired the pick was made anyway, but it was annoying nonetheless. And Yahoo made us download an entirely new app, which I wouldn't mind if it actually worked.

Anyway, that was a lot of drafting to do over the course of 2 hours, but I think my team looks okay.

I'm still amazed I was able to pick up Gaudreau with my 19th pick. This kid will easily surpass 80 points this season & win the Calder. He is w/o question the steal of this year's draft.
