Sure, I think I'll need a new invite to get in though - couldn't get in trying through the yahoo interface. Lets start fresh.

ok......I think I resent you an invite Capatain. Anyone else? We will start with week 3 scoring.....I also changed Free agency to a dollar amount. I also enacted Draft trading.......no idea how that's going to work but we'll see.

yep sorry I am little slow on the uptake with all that's going on. I scheduled for Sunday and a convenient time for our east coast brethren or at least I thought. The draft is where it is at with this one. Probably the most fun to be had at a draft. Let me know if that doesn't work.

Way too intoxicated for such a complicated draft..........not enough D Men....2 Centres on the same team and money left over. Piss poor showing for the Derelicts! I was more enamored with trying to pull Jedi mind tricks then actually paying attention...Lord knows that didn't work, Ha!

I'm in ... Looks like you have the keeper option selected as well. Probably some setting in the commish tools for approval (I'm still figuring this out in the money league).

Any limit on the # of keepers? 4 per team?

The guy that commish's our baseball league on ESPN has a great set-up in where if you keep a player, you relinquish the draft pick in which that player was originally drafted. If you keep that player for a 3rd season, the compensatory pick goes down considerably, but still a compensatory pick nonetheless. I don't think Yahoo is this advanced yet however.

Let's get together this week and talk Keeper settings before draft.

My opinion on keepers is that what ever the commish decides is cool by me.

I'd like to be in but it depends on when the draft is and how it will work. I'm in a 12+ year old auction keeper league and it is great but the draft takes forever. It's fun, but it takes forever. So if I'm able to do the draft I'm in but can't commit yet my schedule is especially hectic the next couple of weeks.

yes....and since I don't understand the whole Keeper thing I will eliminate that. I find that the Auction League the draft is the most fun part. Without a live draft it might as well be another league.

I think we should try it out to see how yahoo has it set up (ie., do you relinquish a pick?)

Auction League? Other league? I'm kinda lost. Is it good to not have a live draft or much better to have a live draft?

Not sure how this works.

If it can be figured out, keepers go well with an auction league - makes getting a bargain even more valuable, and promotes trading: e.g. if you are near contention any bargain guys can be traded for stars to get you over the hump. Actually this is good and bad I guess, those type of trades tend to cause drama. For example: if I am out of the running and trade Stankos at $100 to harmy and get back Jack Johnson at $5, Marcus Foligno at $1 and Vladimir Tarasenko at $1 it helps me a lot for next year but the other contenders might get outraged that Harmy has improved his team so much.

Well for the Auction league...its kind of cool. You get $100 to bid on players during the draft. Its tricky and adds another element to drafting.

The league name is

OTP Auction

the password is pucklove

So if you didn't get an invite via email or it doesn't work try that.

I'd like to see some new blood.....or at least a return of some of the old guard this year. You probably all moved on to other leagues anyway.

I''ll hold on to the keepers. Be aware the Draft is this Saturday at 7pm MST......

geeze, if I get out of school fast enough to get hooked up to an internet connection, I could do this. Is there an android app that would let me hook up to a league like this remotely?
