had my first of 3 drafts last night. it was a little crazy each team picking 23 players. The commish has a boner for Bench players for some reason, we had 10!

heres my team in no particular order. although i had 11th overall pick, with my first i picked up Corey Perry, as we are counting PIMs as well.

Well, no way in HELL are you going to lose in the PIM's category, especially with PIM king Carcillo. Unfortunately I also hope you have a "Man Games Lost to Injury" slot in your league as well, because you'll be winning that as well.

haha yah, alot of guys went for pure stats, i did the math on top 100 players with PIM compiled in, no-one else seem to get that, i got carcillo in like the 8th or 9th round with 11 players, shocked. everyone was like wtf? until i pointed it, same goes with Perry, i could have gotten Lecav, but went with perry with his 85-95 points plus 100 pims.

first round, i don't remember, is there a way to look it up on yahoo sports? it was an online draft

If someone called a team the Habs in my league I'd probably want to beat them up.

well he pretty much got ripped into the entire draft!

the real funny part, the dude who picked Luongo is a Calgary guy, says that we are gonna tank this year blah blah, then pick Luongo first!

and again in another pool the Sedins go to the same team!lol.. in 8 seasons , they have gone to the same team all 8 seasons in our pool! its a crazy phenomenom. The craziest was two seasons ago , Daniel was drafted in the middle of the round .. there was a good 10-12 picks before this guy went again.. and low and behold , Henrik gift wrapped for him. Very good chance it will happen again.. somebody at the back end of a 16 team league will be tempted esp if their fanboys.

Later picks where done with Rye taking affect.
Points with funky math system where Assist for center worth more and goals for wingers worth more. Goalies are all about minutes and wins. Keeper league with a max of four keepers. I held on to OV, Pronger, and Kipper. Best four centers, six wingers, six D, and two goalies count to your total.

Centers
Toews
O. Jokinen
Ribero
Gomez
Arnott
Drury
Grabovsky

Wings
Ovechkin
Perry
Kane
St. Louis
D. Sedin
Frolov
Hemsky
Laich
S. Sullivan
Blake

Defense
Pronger
Visnovsky
Bogosian
Kubina
McCabe
Spacek
Martin
Russel
J. Johnson
Sekera

Goal
Kipper

Kane and Toews! nice combo! I like trying to get solid combos.

you also got the Trasher's D pairing! I like them too. i like Atlanta's PP this year , I think they'll be solid from a hockey pool perspective.

The pool I drafted last night. 12 owners, 12 picks. 11 of 12 count, gotta take 1 and only 1 goalie. Straight points, goalies 2 for W 1 for SO. I won this pool last year. Oh yeah, you can protect one player from last year, but you have to take him a round earlier than you did last year. Three guesses who my keeper is...

1 Getzlaf, R (ANA) (F)
2 Nabokov, E (SJ) (G)
3 Gaborik, M (NYR) (F)
4 Stastny, P (COL) (F)
5 Frolik, M (FLA) (F) 0
6 Dumont, J (NAS) (F)
7 Krejci, D (BOS) (F)
8 Toews, J (CHI) (F)
9 Drury, C (NYR) (F)
10 Bergeron, P (BOS) (F)
11 Cogliano, A (EDM) (F)
12 Wheeler, B (BOS) (F)
