this is actually a great question for playoff pools. There's so many more directions you can go opposed ot a reg season pool.

Who do you pick 1st overall if you had the pick?

I really dont know and I actually dont want the first overall pick..nervous Im gonna get it. I had back to back 1st overall picks in one of my football pools.

I would be between Marc Savard (happy Razz!?) , Crosby and Malkin for me. Its one of those things I wont know until I actually have to do it.

not ovechkin because his team is far from a lock to get far... savard went first in the pool i drafted last night, but that guy had a hard-on for Bruins... not me btw... if I had the first pick I'd have taken Patty Marleau, who I managed to get anyway...

Nabokov
Marleau
Setoguchi
Michalek
Boyle
Hudler
Drury
Wideman
Filppula
Biron

Our draft was tonight...this is how the 1st rd went in a points only , no redrafts....

I actually almost won the lottery if you consider getting no.1 winning...

1. Ovechkin
2. Savard < me
3. Malkin
4. Parise
5. Crosby
6. Datsyuk
7. Hossa
8. Zetterberg
9. H.Sedin
10. D.Sedin
11. Kessel
12. Semin

my team overall... all the B's went in the first 3 rounds so had to change my strategy on the fly. I wasnt influenced by the Canucks game caz I was running the draft so I couldnt watch anyways....
1. Marc Savard it was between Crosby or Savard... I thought I would have less competition for B's.. I was wrong.
2. Ryan Kesler there's no way they would been around on the loop around. It was either Kes/Bur or Kunitz and Gonchar.
3. Alex Burrows
4. Dan Boyle
5. Kevin Bieksa
6. Sami Salo I went against my own oath and went Salo ahead of Edler.
7. Chuck Kobasew considering how many B's went... I got good value for a 20 goal scorer.
8. Erik Cole Panic picks.. I think they're gonna lose.. i had no idea who I wanted in these spots.
9. Anton Babchuk
10. Rob Blake ..handcuff Boyle.

gaps in the marketplace my friend... why do you think I ended up with so many Sharks? they're a lock to make the third round, IMO, and getting 2 points from the goalie every time they win... I wanted Bruins too but people realize they're a damn good team, and picked the bones pretty much bare by the time I found a value pick...

Gave me pride to draft Wideman whilst wearing the Wideman third though...
