This deserves its own thread.

Love the jerseys, love the colour scheme.

Beauty. Kind of evil looking, but very understated so it's not scary to kids. Very well done.

Of course, people on Twitter have already blurred/edited the name to make it say the Seattle Karen, and they'd like to speak to the manager.

Oh HELL YES.

https://twitter.com/NHLSeattle_/status/ ... 61/photo/1

I will seriously get one of those.

Love the color scheme, the design, everything. I also love how they threw everyone off the trail by denying it was "Kraken" and said the salmon/aquamarine colors they were using in promotional materials wasn't a hint at their future look.

Now I'm just hoping the soon-to-be former Avalanche player to wear their jersey isn't too good.

If they take Andrew Ladd, I'll get a "shirsey". :cthulhu:

Final cheque clears, the Kraken are officially the NHL's 32nd franchise. They can start acquiring players.

The Kraken sign their first player--Luke Henman, a forward, 21 years old, from the QMJHL. He was drafted by the Canes when Francis still ran the team, so it appears Ron knows a thing about him. Unlike poor Reid Duke in Vegas, there's a chance he may play.

Dave Hakstol named first coach in Kraken history.

Like everyone who's been through the Philly meat grinder, he had some good aspects but didn't win and they moved on. Went to Toronto after.

This is weird....unprotected Carrie Price and Mark Giordano.....Lots of of names from Montreal...Druinn, Byron, Danault, Price. Landeskog unprotected as well (I would pick Donskoi).

Rask might not be a bad play either. Lots of goalies out there.

Reports saying they've already landed on Driedger from Florida and will pay him 3 years at 3.5M AAV.

That's not starting goalie money, though, so they might want a more experienced netminder too.

Lots of defencemen and wingers available. If they don't like Johansen/Duchene, they might want to use that defence surplus to get a centre.

Kypreos said on NHL Radio that Gio's been told that if he gets selected, he will be the first captain in Kraken history.

Giordano taken, likely the first Kraken Kaptain. Seattle passes on Price and Landeskog.

I read that the spoke to Landeskog but a deal couldn't be reached.

Also reading that they took Eberle from the Isles. If so- yay for clearing cap space, but booo for now having to find someone to replace his offence.

Toronto looks like they got kinda screwed here...I'm not so sure the better move would've just been to lose Holl.

And Donskoi goes. That's exactly who I would have picked from the Avs....a solid guy with some speed and skill who isn't afraid to go into the corners and do the work. When most of the team was getting bumped off the puck or waiting for someone else not named Mackinnon to go get it this guy was in there. The exact type of player the Avs need more of.......quality add by the Krak. Colorado suddenly finding themselves with even LESS depth scoring (since Landeskog appears gone too).
