Getting this started. Looks like most everyone will be back from the IR. Glad its not the Isles. Alex Lyon a wild card for the Panthers and there is always Walt's eldest. Sam Bennett just went to IR 2 days ago. Verhaege has had a great year and Barkov is solid. Not too worried about this matchup but it is the Stanley Cup playoffs.

This opens on Monday in Boston on Patriot/Marathon Day. No solid times announced quite yet.

Florida are coming into the playoffs red hot. They were left for dead in December. Reminds me a bit of the year St. Louis stormed into the playoffs and rode it all the way.

But Boston is Boston.

Red hot? They let the Isles leap frog them in the last few days. The Isles were considered dead in the water after losing Game 81 to the Caps.
They're better than their record, but I don't know about red hot.

I don't mean the last week of the season, but they were a lottery team in December with a 10 per cent chance of making the playoffs. They got hot in the new year and Tkachuk became a bulldozer.

Florida did outshoot, out hit and for the most part outplayed them as well. However, Ulmark was cool as a cucumber back there. Overall a C game put forth from the Bruins but they cruised to victory anyway.

Only Florida goal came from a head scratching clear D zone middle of the ice chip out of Orlov. Which was then easily intercepted and deposited by Tchkachuk.

I fucking hate Lil' Bert almost as much as I hate his uncle and even I thought it was funny.

He's a perfect fit for the B's. Good for Sweeney snatching him up.

Patrice still out.

On the lines if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Foligno-Nosek-Hathaway is a fine 4th line!

A chink in the armor appears......the Bruins are mortal and it certainly showed last night when they played rattled for the first time all year.

Going to need Bergeron!

Bennett in the lineup pays off immediately....I sure wish the Flames had that guy!

Things not getting any rosier for the Bruins here. Ulmark is a game time decision and Patrice did not make the trip to Florida. It seems that some fans were upset with him playing in Montreal but it turns out he was playing in front of his Dad who has Cancer. Its 82 games....and if he gets hurt on game 82 so be it.

Panic crept into their game for first time all season in Game 2......let's see what Sunrise brings tonight.

Gryz is in for Cliffy. Foligno replaced with Lauko.

Corsi numbers lead to a break up in Krejci Pasta and Bert with Zacha and Krejci pulling the switch. Not sure why they just can't plug in Krejci where Patrice was but hey Cam Neely isn't knocking on my door.

Wow, they indicated Bergy was sick, not injured. Now they're revealing he got hurt in game 82? They're taking pages from the Avalanche book of Absolute Secrecy.

I would not expect the Bruins to bother with inserting Bergeron or Krejci into this series at this point. Right now the Panthers are just running around wild and undisciplined playing reckless hockey. I wouldn't risk Bergeron back with Walts eldest losing his mind out there.

While I enjoy seeing Walt's Eldest and Bennett succeed outside of Calgary I can't help reflect on how mismanaged that organization is every time I see them.

I don't like Katchuk's game anyway....running around the ice diving and taking liberties without any ramifications. I think he has a lot of talent and doesn't really need to behave that way, hopefully he matures. CMac did catch him last game though.......wouldn't mind seeing a few more of those...but I would rather the Bruins go to work and close out this team tomorrow night.

There are bigger fish to fry in the Leafs or Lightning.

I am already impressed with the Panthers.....

I thought their game in game 5 was the best of the series. They regained their composure. Bob was solid in net and they weathered quite the storm that Boston threw at them. Lots of sticks and clogging up shooting lanes. While the Bruins did enough to deserve the victory, the Panthers did enough to hang in there and capitalize on mistakes.

Patrice Bergeron returning took the Bruins game to the next level unfortunately even that level wasn't enough to get it done last night.

Now we go back to Sunrise and THOSE people. :)

So here we go. IMO Pasta has to be better and that's what has always scared me about him, consistency. I thought in the past couple years we were turning the corner there and 11 Million dollars says the Bruins think so too. Time to be that guy tonight.
