I am not sure why everyone is pissing and moaning about 80's firewagon hockey. I get it...its not what the old guys on the TNT panel like but isn't it what the NHL wants to return to? Hot damn, as a fan, this is the best hockey show being put on in almost 40 years.

Not sure Wayne is cut out for the panel...maybe they should go get someone like Thornton or Spezza. Put Chara on there!

I am going to have to go back to Sportsnet permanently if this keeps up.

Its not too fun to be a goalie but its fun to watch.

We'll see. Avs goaltending was pretty shaky before, but now Frankie's the starter and I don't think he's quite that guy who can come up with a lot of big saves. He's a perfectly capable backup, but not a guy who can really steal games.

Add to that the single worst defenseman in these playoffs in Jack Johnson (and I'm counting ALL the teams that were in, not just the four remaining) and it's, as they say, a recipe for disaster. JJ has singlehandedly dragged the numbers of any defender he's been paired with into the abyss, Sam Girard had one of the worst years of his career (though I'm still convinced he was hurt for most of it) and now Manson is feeling the pain.

If you're Edmonton- do you put McDavid out vs JJ every possible shift so he puts up like 8 points/game, or do you know he'll create offense vs anyone and put a struggling line against JJ to get them going? Inquiring minds want to know.

Rangers up 2-0 on Tampa...hell the Rangers could win the cup I and I would still be like....why? Don't get me wrong...Shesterkin and Fox are really good and the forward set led by Krieder is decent....(Frank Vatrano has been the balls) but I am just not sold. I guess every year needs an overachiever.
