Yeah, I'm actually quite surprised an elite finisher like he is actually doesn't take care of the puck very well. Might be one reason why he works so well with two players who do.

Matty Duchene with the OT winner. Good for him. IMO he's been wrongly villified by a large contingent of Avs fans. I've no idea if he's a good guy or not, nor do I really care. I hope he has a hell of a playoff run and snags a huge contract. Dude deserves it.

Jax play their most complete game yet forming a seemingly impenetrable umbrella in front of Bob. Pastrnak continues to turn the puck over at will. Marchand is becoming frustrated and dirty as is his MO.. I am pretty impressed with this Jax team....I can't fathom a CBJ/CAR eastern final...but I remember back when the Canes and Oilers met in the SCF (2006) and that was surprising as hell. Jax up 2-1 and the CBJ crowd stays awesomely classy!

Could care less who wins between these two teams -- still have unresolved Torts issues and don't get me started on the Bruins, although my rancorous spite has definitely softened since the 2011 SCF. Have gotten behind the Jerks. Love the band of cast off underdog storyline, the team nobody knows anything about nor likes -- even though that could only be partially true.

Is Marchand going to get suspended for his little love tap?

They need to set the bar with him. This kinda stuff often escalates into even dirtier stuff I say fine guys for this kinda stuff. You want a higher paced skill game and I think long run that is for the best but this kinda weasel thuggery needs to be put down. He every playoffs does something that is embarrassing and just boarder line enough to get away with slap his wrist already.

Isn't the max fine like $2600 though? That isn't shit to these guys making $5 million. They could wipe their asses with $2600.
Whenever fines come up I think of the NJ Nets Derek Coleman getting in trouble for wearing a sweatsuit on the plane instead of a real suit. He was told he'd be fined $2500 each time he did it. He pulled out his checkbook and asked if he could pre-pay for the whole season so he didn't waste checks.
