Umm. I thought the Hurricanes were dubbed the Bunch of Jerks. You can't change something like that!

That said- the President's Trophy winners are on the brink of being swept. Holy shitballs.

Jon Cooper said Killorn is a game-time decision. Hedman and Stralman are out for game four.

Wow. How injured must those guys be to miss an elimination game...

Haven't really seen much of the games but people were saying Hedman was clearly playing hurt before they finally pulled him, he was letting attacking forwards blow past him in very uncharacteristic fashion, they finally just shut him down because he was making things worse. What's especially disheartening is that when Hedman went down earlier in the regular season, McDonagh stepped up. He's apparently not doing that now. I have heard people say their blueline corps is a little on the slow side, they don't really have a slick puckmover among them.

In any event, this is just stunning.

And this...this is next level.

I think the worst thing that could have happened to the Bolts is that they kept winning down the stretch even though they weren't, by their own admission, playing well. They picked up some bad habits, and when it came time to shake off the rust, they couldn't do it in time.

We'll see what happens. I'd say it's impossible for them to win four straight, but then again, I thought it was impossible they'd be down 3-0.

Unreal - just as I type this Bolts tie it up. And the Jax pull ahead on a delayed penalty with 6 attackers. The Bolts ain't coming back in this series but let's at least see a battle please.

Columbus pulls off the greatest playoff upset ever. Sweeping the 62 win Presidents Trophy winners 4 - 0 with a phenomenal game 4 by both teams.

Going back to what we said earlier. The Bolts haven't played a meaningful game in 3 months.....including the past 4.......

Amazing.
And I only realized just now that this is Torts sweeping his old team.

That is exactly what happened. And it's not just hockey, either: saw a tweet last night saying the best regular season teams in all 4 major sports have come away empty handed (Pats when they went 16-0 and the Warriors three years ago were two other examples).

Tampa is right up against the cap, they need to give Brayden Point 9M bucks, and they need to rebuild their defence on the fly.

Texier is going to be a superstar. I think there was a bit of a Kopitar thing on draft day where teams didn't think he was raised around enough competition in France. But he bulked up, dominated the Finnish league as a teen, and now he's ready.

Dubois and Texier up the middle will be dominant in the years to come.
