2-0 early into the third for the Caps in game one. Second tally off an odd man rush -- classic Ovie goal.

Penguins come right back with 2 goals in 2 odd minutes -- 2-2.

Here we go again.

Mother of God, if Jake Guentzel keeps up this pace he's going to be the greatest playoff performer of all time.

Ovie wins game 3 himself.

Could it be his year?

Ovi has found another gear. This has to be the time, because I don't know if they'll ever get another chance.

The team seems well balanced too. DSP-Eller-Connolly is a fast line that's causing trouble even when they're not on the scoreboard.

Tom Wilson has been very Tom Wilson-y these playoffs, but he may have finally crossed the line with a headshot on Zach Aston-Reese. Disciplinary hearing today.

Then again, considering how inconsistent the officiating has been so far, who knows what'll happen.

He's a shit bag, and I can't understand how nobody has beaten the living shit out of him. Anders Lee tried after Wilson ended Visnovsky's career a few years ago, but Lee isn't a fighter. I think that's his only major in the NHL. One of these days Wilson is going to cause someone a life altering injury, and the NHL will continue to turn a blind eye to the face that he's Matt Cooke 2.0.

The Caps are one away! Could this finally be their year? Ovi and Kuz have found another level.

This was supposed to be a fallow year for the Caps while they regrouped (no big signings etc.) but it's just another cautionary tale about GM's trying to do too much and ruining the chemistry of their teams. Backstrom-Kuz-Lars up the middle has kept the team from having those off-nights they were prone too when everything was riding on Ovi.

Young guys like Vrana and Djoos have taken big steps forward instead of tired vets clogging up everything. And they've stayed mostly healthy.

Pens just ran out of hockey. Two Cups in a row is unheard of, and when the Caps started hitting back the Pens realized how tired they were. No shame in that. The loss of Ian Cole ended up being pretty big because they needed some defensive depth.
