I will definitely be tuning in for Faber vs Pulver 2 as their first fight was awesome but Jens is getting long in the tooth so methinks it will not be as close as previous.
Plus again its another oppertunity to see someone punch him in the suckhole!

F'n A Man! Did anyone see the UFC Fight for the Troops last night?

That was good. That old boy that ate all those knees in the Muay Thai clinch.....the big ass welt on his forehead.

Or how about the Steve Cantwell fight where he snapped that old boy's arm?

Or the nauseating knock out from Josh Koscheck.......

Great fights.

Cantwell is a douchebag for cheering after he broke that poor bastards arm.

For a moment think about Cantwell. He was stripped of his Lightweight WEC title when UFC and WEC merged. Then he had this guy talking a whole lot of shit about him not being an opponent. Yeah I think it was a shit move but it also sends a message and sometimes it has to be done.

Ultimate Fighter finale had me fooled.
I thought for sure Vinny would beat Bader and Phillip would beat Efrain.
Definitely diappointed in Vinny/Bader fight.
MacDonald got knocked the F out.
Overall a good show but still can't wait for the Ultimate 2008.
My predictions:
Noguerra over Mir
Silva over Rmapage
Griffin over Evans
What are yours?

Me either man! These fights are too good/close to call almost. They could all be knockout or submission wins, or all go to the judges.

Wow!0-3 in my predictions. Definitely lived up to the billing.
I can not believe Evans beat Griffin, definitely disappointed.
Evans always seem to be classy but when he grabbed himself and pointed at Griffin showed he clearly is not.
I would like to see Rampage and Evans.
I also can not wait for the Mir vs. Lesnar rematch.
I can't believe how good Mir looked against Noguierra.
The Cheik Congo vs. Mustafa Al Turk fight was the funniest thing I have ever seen.
After Mustafa knees him in the junk Congo returns the favor on purpose ten times worse.
I would like to see Congo fight somebody more of relevance.
How about that tool Dollaway tapping which goes sight unsee by the ref Lavigne then he ends up winning and is a jerkoff as always.
The next UFC event likely will not be worth the price hoever I am looking forward to the next Penn vs. St Pierre.

yep...I was shocked at the Rampage KO. He needed to get that monkey off his back (Silva) and he definitely did. Mir was indeed impressive....and gracious on his comments.

I drank a little too much Jaeger and missed the Rashad Evans/Griffin fight...or at least I think I missed it. At least I taped this one so I got something for my $45. I don't like that Rashad fellow and Griffin looked a bit average.

The next pay per view is certainly not in my money queue. But your right the Penn fight sounds good and worthy of my money.

If you get HDNet they are always showing K-1, Strikeforce, Pride and Dream.....as well as inside the MMA...good shit and a nice channel.

I expected the fights to be alittle closer. I didnt get to see the ppv :( But it would have definitley been worth the money spent at a sports bar lol.

I can't wait to see the Lesnar Mir rematch, and whoever Evans will defend against first!

If you guys want to watch these fights online as well many others you can go to: www.mmashare.com, just passing that site along if you guys don't know about it.

Just got off the WEC conference call with Pulver, Faber, Cerrone and Varner.

Jens is one funny man but he already seems to understand his game may be gone.

Hell of a weekend with Affliction on Saturday night as well.

F'n Affliction Card was awesome on Saturday night! Fedor is the man.

WEC irritated me on Sunday though. After watching nearly 3 hours of uninterrupted onslaught with Affliction the night before....I then got treated to 5 fights over the span of 2 hours full of commercials.

It really didn't surprise me that Faber destroyed Pulver...the more I see of Pulver...I actually like him now.

Jamie Varner is a warrior. There were a lot of F bombs being dropped on VS....probably won't go over well with the TV Nannies.

The Faber/Pulver match had all the makings of a let down and it was.
Jens is done.
Most of the other fights were laughable.
My freakin DVR topped recording the Varner/Ceronne fight at 11PM-lesson learned next time I will be taping the show immediately following as well.
I may have to go over my buds house for the Penn/St Pierre rematch
Penn seems to have regressed back to his lack of training/conditioning days...

A second Faber/Pulver was not the greatest match-up to begin with, but there are so few people with any name recognition in that division that it was bound to happen, especially since Leonard Garcia was already set to fight for the title vs. whatshisname.

Varner/Sironne(?) was a good fight before the letdown ending. Sironne is a bad dude, if he had better takedown defence he would have ripped Varner. They kept mentioning that he trains with GSP - if so how could he not have better takedown defense going into a match vs. a great wrestler? Maybe Varner is just that good. The rematch should be great.

Penn v GSP II was great
I loved seeing GSP beat the snot out of Penn who should learn to shut his yapper
Then Penn once again showed his true colors by saying GSP cheated.
What a tool-dude you got your ass handed to you and the only person who saved you from the ride in an ambulance was your trainer/brother.
Disappointed in all of the other bouts
Machida v. Silva was a let down. Two Brazilian 13-0 fighters should have been better then that fight. Machida is the real deal but I dunno how he would do against a striker like Evans.
Silva got knocked the F out!
We may try to see in person the Lidell v Rua fight in Montreal if the tickets are somewhat reasonable.

Ya the cheating thing is weird. On one hand I can see how vaseline would make it hard to get submissions and maybe without it BJ could have caught him. On the other hand wtf - is a little vaseline all you need to beat a black belt in brazilian jiu jitsu??

Plus I think a lot of fighters grease up to some extent, doesn't seem totally unusual.

But ya BJ got his ass beaten I doubt he wants a rematch, cheating or not. His stand-up looked terrible too and that wasn't the vaseline. I like BJ but he should stay at 155.

I am going to have to revisit this this weekend. I taped it...thankfully but UFC made it into the man's room and the TV seemed to be non-existent for a bit.

UFC Fight Night last nite had some great bouts.
Cain Velasquez is the real deal the roly poly Pol did not have much of a chance but at least he made it out of the first round.
Once again Neer appeared to be finished and then comesback to win a fight with a triangle.
Last fight was good as well w/ Lauzan coming back to win on a submission.
Overall a good free show.
