Just watched the UFC 89 I recorded on DVR.
I'm glad it was free and I'm glad I didnt waste three hours watching it instead of being able to FF through all of the glutching and dancing.
Seriously Kieth Jardine give it up-you were lucky to beat the declining Iceman when you did. The fight with Vera was laugable along with the boos that started in the second round and carried over to the third.
Leben? WTF is this guy still in the UFC? Hes just a bunching bag for mediocre upcomers who dont have the skills to fight a real name or quality opponent.
Very disappointing...especially as a prelude to UFC 90 with Silva and Cote which should last all of 30 seconds.
The Alves/Sanchez fight probably will be the only fight worth watching.

Ya pretty lame UFC. Some of the early fights were good - that Luiz Cane dude is a beast and I liked that fight him vs. Sokoudjou. Marcus Davis fight was good too IMO. But Bisping was boring and Jardine-Vera sucked.

Sanchez is out with an injury - it's going to be Alves vs. Koschek! Should still be a good fight.

Is it funny or sad is it that there will be no more CBS fights after the Kimbo debacle?

Cote had a shot at beating Silva, it was a close battle early on. That was a bad break for him. Hopefully he recovers quickly and can climb his way back to contender status.

Did you catch the WEC poster boy Faber losing on Wednesday?
That kid caught him right on the chin.
The WEC show was a decent one-only one fight was real lame which was the one coincidentally that their middleweight champion coundn't even make weight.
WTF does that say about an organization.
I laughed my ass off seeing Pulver get his ass kicked-that guy just needs to STFU.
One week until the MMA fight of the year...I can't wait to see Brock tap out and I'll actually get to watch it live at a friends house.

Its going to be an interesting fight. Brock is so strong and fast. But he was very sloppy while holding Herring down in his ground and slap game. If he can correct that Couture will have his hands full.

Yep...I was shocked to see Faber lose....Mike Brown is a solid veteran. Faber slipped right into a right hand and just like that it was over.....that's the thing about MMA.

Paulo Filho missing weight was a joke...he should have been stripped right there.
WEC is tossing out the light heavyweight and middleweight divisions at the end of the year anyway so I don't expect him to stick in the UFC.

Pulver is kind of a douche.....I enjoyed watching him lose.

Couture has a serious case of cauliflower ear...

Watched the Roy Jones Jr fight on Saturday as well. Pretty good bout. Calzaghe defintely won that one.

44.95 is pricey for this even especially considering the under card isn't so hot.....but I guess you never know with these sorts of things.

Too bad I couldn't just say Chet, Jeff, Butch let's watch this thing.......that makes $45 much easier to swallow.

Im with you there.
Better bargain for the buck is the great card at Ultimate 2008 in December.

Griffin v Evans
Nogueria vs Mir
Jackson v Wanderlai Silva
and a Cheick Kongo bout!
F Yeah! Two of those in the same PPV fight would be worth it.

Jackson v Wanderlai Silva is worth price of admission by itself! That poor bastard Jackson has been beaten down more times by Silva in Pride it makes you wonder who the fuck got him to sign this one!

Well, certainly appeared Randy is past his prime and Lesnar simply to big for him to handle.
Randy got caught in the temple then got hammer fisted into oblivion.
Lesnar listed at 265 but even Rogan was saying hes closer to 285 and Randy is only 220.
Two undercards were really impressive-Hazelett with his submission win and this Stevens with a viciouis uppercut to knock his opponent out.

That was a fantastic PPV! All the fights were pretty good or entertaining and NONE DECIDED BY DECISION!!!! I was really rooting for Randy, but I just knew that Brock was too big, too strong and too fast. I think Couture is done.

And I'll say it Brock Lesnar is one of the greatest atheletes ever!

I think its bull that Lesnar got a title shot with a 2-1 MMA record.
He was definitely winded in the fight.
Someone a little closer in size would give him a hard time if they could drag it out.

I ended up springing for this and watching it. Good fights. Nothing too over the top in the undercard. I didn't expect Kenny Florian to be that dominant over Joe Stevenson...but there was no question there....BJ Penn should be a good fight.

That Hazelett/McCrory fight was funny. F'n mountain man Vs the Elementary teacher.....

Stevens was a good shot....and one of only 2 (excluding the ME) to end in a knock out.

I felt bad for the UFC "Debut" guy that had to fight that Gonzaga beast.....he was outclassed immediately.

Overall a good card...and with 3 of us...that only equaled $15 a piece. Wish comcast had it in HD.

So who beats brock now? I am assuming he'll get the winner of the Nog/Mir fight next month. Brock is only going to get better all around and the dude is just massively athletically superior to most all humans!

That was a great UFC! Lots of good fights and good subs and a couple cool knockouts.

Too bad for Couture but that beast is just too big. Lesnar looks like Donkey Kong out there.

KenFlo vs. BJ should be cool, I think BJ will take him but no doubt it could be a great fight.

I think either Nog or Mir (obviously since he beat him already) would have a shot at beating Lesnar, both are jiu jitsu blackbelts and it seems like the only way to take out Brock will be to sub him. Still tough though.

The OmaPlatta and that sick uppercut were the highlights of the night.

So far the best UFC all around event I have seen.

However Ultimate 2008 is going to be just that...

This card is f'n stacked! Getting ready to watch the WEC event from this last Wednesday. I saw Tapia get beat but I didn't see any of the undercard.
