Trout had 1,427 at age 30, for example. Machado at 1442 is a good bet.
I really like what analytics has done to hockey, and basketball as well to some degree. I DO NOT like what it's done to baseball. Teams are just burning out pitchers faster than ever because some chart told them to bring the heat every time, and hitters are swinging for the fences more than ever.
I'd be okay with them moving/lowering the mound, and banning shifts entirely. I'd also begrudgingly accept a pitch clock, but teams just have to let pitchers control their own games. If they want to hurl with abandon, fine, but if they don't, that's okay too. Nothing wrong with a good junkballer.
