That was a bitter match to lose. Real Madrid deserved the victory. Their team had more quality depth than we did. Gareth Bale, who scored two goals, was a substitute. It really hurt to lose our top man, Mohammed Salah, to a suspicious injury when one of the masters of the dark arts, Sergio Ramos, held onto Salah's arm as both were falling in a challenge and then Ramos rolls over Salah's arm causing a shoulder separation. I know that it was iffy whether or not that it was intentional but Liverpool was bossing the match until then. Yes, that was a magnificent goal by Gareth Bale. Our goaler really screwed up and gaffed the first and the third goal. While he really took his mistakes to heart, I hope he can bounce back and be even stronger in the years to come. YNWA. |
