Way to go Reds, aggressively landing Gray, Roark and Wood to lead their rotation. I like it. Too many quitters in baseball right now.

God, hearing about the Indians signing Carrasco to a good deal and reporting "They can now deal Bauer and Kluber" was so dumb. What in the fuck? They've been to the World Series very recently, they re-sign a guy that they already had to a good deal, so deal 2 other starters including a Cy-Young caliber pitcher? While they have TWO cheap superstar infielders?

Like, fuck. When you need build your team with a cheaper payroll, this is exactly the scenario you hope to get to. You hope to get some amazing players like Ramirez and Lindor on cheap deals and fill the roster out. Indians have two goddam superstars that are cheap and already have great pitching on reasonable to very good deals. So now they want to trade those pitchers so they can what, get worse now, get back into a cycle where you only try with no guarantee to get back to where they are right now in a few years? This is when you go for it. If you're trying to chase getting cheap all-star/superstar position players AND cheap all-star pitching at the same time...yeah, good luck with getting all that at the same time.

The Clevelanders could use some outfield help, though, so I'd trade Bauer or someone for a cost-controlled outfielder. Or sign Adam Jones or AJ Pollock.

Yeah Bauer is fine but both is just nuking your starting rotation. Free agent money is so low right now that it seems like it shouldn't be a problem getting someone on the market.
