Montreal's about to prove it's no place for an international soccer tournament. They booked the Montreal games at the massive, decrepit Olympic Stadium instead of the brand new outdoor Saputo Stadium next door because organizers didn't want to mix turf and grass.

1,000 people showed up to Tuesday afternoon's Costa Rica-Spain tilt at the Big O. I hope the rest of the country is more supportive.

Man, just realized this was in the Chit Chat forum. Corrected it for easier navigation.

Canada plays England in the quarters now. Canada vs England is completely bizarre in sports. We share none of the same sports even though we share the same Queen. Basically a few individual sports, and when you make it Canada vs the UK, we have curling. That's it.

So working up a hate against England isn't something that's very natural to us, but I'm cool with that.
