He has a very good shot. The team's best pitcher, Jorge De La Rosa, is recovering from Tommy John surgery and isn't due back in the lineup until June at the earliest. Depending on how the others do he may stick around even longer. We also have a guy in the lineup (Nicasio) who had his neck broken by a line drive last season.

His age isn't what's amazing, it's that he has managed to be so successful for so long with nothing even resembling heat. His fastball is something like 79 mph.

Rox might go with a 4-man rotation to start the season. Moyer isn't 100% assured of a spot but it's possible he may be the #2 guy behind Opening Day starter Jeremy Guthrie(!).

You're gonna LOVE Coors Field. Even when the Rox take a dump on the proceedings (which happens more often than not) it's always one of the best spectating experiences around.

This might inspire TCL to try out next year.

Oh God, the Giants' lefty heavy lineup is going to be totally flummoxed by the old man.

Good, 'cause the Rox lineup (left and right) has been owned by Matt Cain. Hell, he can even take care of Colorado with his bat as well.

So will he be the oldest starting pitcher to win a game?
