I might get into this league at some point. There are teams in most of the cool cities on the continent now.... and then for some reason Salt Lake City and Kansas City.

Three Canadian teams now with the arrival of the Montreal Impact. I don't think FC Edmonton is too far away from the MLS, either. Don't know why they didn't try an all-Canadian league, but I guess this is the direction its heading now.

The Montreal/Vancouver season opener drew 288k viewers on TSN plus 253k on RDS. Looks like Montreal has enthusiasm for this.

Still haven't picked a team, leaning towards the Portland Timbers. Though I might join the popular crowd and be a Seattle Sounders fan... amazing that they AVERAGE 39k fans a game. Basically I'm a freeloader fan unless I move to any MLS city in the future.

Don't sell the Whitecaps short. They had a terrific pre-season and won their home opener.

I haven't ruled out the Whitecaps. I anticipate picking a west coast team in time, media coverage here gives the Whitecaps an advantage.

Yeah, the fan clubs are the real treat of the MLS... and is why the west is the best. Although Philly's MLS fans sound pretty awesome... and typically Philly. Philly had a fan club before they had an interested owner... and in drumming up interest would invade games in DC and NY/Boston. They sat in a section between the rival fanbases and started heckling both fanbases at the same time.

I'm hoping you Vancouver people post in here a decent amount.

I have only really had time to follow hockey for the past couple of years, but the Whitecaps look like good entertainment value for the $. I intend on seeing a few games for sure.
