One of my co-workers pointed out today that since the Nuggets re-acquired Chauncey Billups, all active Denver pro sports teams (Broncos, Avalanche, Nuggets) are a combined 10-1.

Conclusion: Chauncey makes your team better, even if he's not playing on it.

Holy shit...7-1 now!

I should start watching them instead of the Avs!

Wait...maybe not. I'm a jinx. :emo:

I heard the interview.. first time the NBA took a little responsibility and/or showed some remorse when Stern said " we let Vancouver down". Never heard that before from the NBA. I dont hold my ever lasting grudge with the NBA its with Grizzlies , Heisley , Versace and Stupid Jackson I will forever spite with passion.

Stern shot down any hopes that they'll come back to Vancouver but I still say there's a chance in the long run. If the Cdn dollar gets back to par and Vancouver is overloading with corporate dollars , how can Stern ignore the pacific northwest. Especially if Seattle fails to get a new building.. this is a filthy rich area of north america they cant leave vacant with so their own share of hemoraging franchises.

he still doesn't get it... had they not handicapped us in a knee-jerk reaction to orlando getting hit by lightning twice (penny and shaq), this would be one of their best markets...

stern can go fuck himself, he let it play out the way it did...

oh and btw memphis sucks donkey balls so it wasn't the market that was the problem, moron...

Its hilarious that Memphis sucks again , actually they've always have (zero playoff victories). They're attendance is way lower than Vancouver's all time low and Memphis is one of the teams in danger again.. its perfect

Vancouver is a better market than Memphis in every way, and it was obvious at the time, too. It was foreseeable that their attendance wouldn't be good if the team sucked... oh, just like every other city outside of New York. Shocking that fans in Vancouver got tired of losing -- as has happened in every sport in every city everywhere.

But instead, no, we condescendingly are told that our city is too cold (in a league with Minnesota, Milwaukee, Detroit, Toronto, etc.), that it's somehow relevant that supermarket products are different (they are no more so than among different U.S. cities), and that we "don't understand the game". Right, 'cause no one played basketball before the NBA came.

One of the more discomforting ironies is that the Grizzlies are being rumored as a potential suitor for Seattle.

Sure enough, I watch Saturday's game and the Hornets win. I miss tonight's game...and this happens.

Now that's about as thorough an ass-whoopin' as I can ever recall in professional sports. :yayyy:

Ridiculous. They only beat the Hornets by 21 this time. :argh: :P

Thank the sports gods for the Nuggets--they've been the lone bright spot in an otherwise dismal year for Denver. :emo:

Now up 2-0 on Dallas...jeez.

In other news, I know most everyone here hates the NBA with a passion, but this is just crazy.
