Doubt he'll do a ton to right the ship. The Caps are really starting to look old. They might get a nice recharge with the new goalie, but they have, at best, one or two more years left before they seriously gotta look at a full rebuild.

Maybe Daniel Sprong can give the old Caps a jolt? If you give him a chance to roam he'll score some goals with his elite shot, just a matter of the rest of his game...

He's over 35, can they even buy him out? I see it more like they'll make one more run at the cup, then let him try to beat Gretz's goal record over a couple of rebuilding seasons.

Geez...Ovechkin looks like he wants to go all the way to #2 by season's end :lol: Dude's putting up 5 shots a game at a pace of 400+, which he's been close to but hasn't done since 08-09 when he put up 528.

The Capitols TV crew said this was for family reasons before tonight's game against Carolina. I just hope the Russians don't try and use him as a political pawn and charge him with a crime.

Lucic was a better player and a year younger when he signed that mega deal in Edmo. Had one good season then tanked.

I hope he doesn't even get one good season, but I hate him so much, he'll probably make it a good contract for the caps. :(
