Ovechkin scored on his first shift on a beauty through Schenn and Toskala from far out.

I seriously think Ovie will score 50 in 50 this year, and might get 75-80. Being an Olympic year, it might be a little tougher, but the man is possessed and is only getting better. And Backstrom is getting better as well. Ovechkin might set the record for shots on goal as well.

Down 2 on a PP tap-in by Knuble.

The Washington top lines is definately giving the Leafs' D fits, but we've had our share of chances too- Varlamov has made a couple of real good saves, including a case of highway robbery on Mitchell.

Edit: Make that down 3- might be a long night.

It's early but 7 goals in 7 games on 55 shots. On pace for over 600 shots.
