That game...could have gone better for the Canucks.

Pretty good thanks! Still grinding away. Missed the hockey so this is a good time to dive back in.

Aquilini drove something like 14 hours to watch the game in person. Yikes.

Also, Ferland is a friggin' nutjob. Only played 14 NHL game due to concussion issues and he drops the gloves right away?

The spearing was uncalled for...but also, Luke Kunin doesn't need to be grabbing the stick from the bench. Some argued with me online that Ferland shouldn't be heading into the boards with his stick up in the air, which I guess is also true. Either way, don't be a dick.

Solid effort. Score flattered the Mild. Marky still a bit of a concern.

You know you're getting old when I agree with all your points.

Ferland is playing his way back to LTIR.

Interesting that they scratched Toffoli.

Now get off my lawn.

Apparently Toffoli was seen in a walking boot. Something's off with him. Gaudette will likely draw back into to lineup tomorrow, as well as Macewen in lieu of Ferland and potentially Roussel.

Ferland's already back in Manitoba. Holy shit. I hope he ends up okay but...that was still insanely reckless.

But I blame hockey's broken culture more than him.

Sweet sweet victory - unfortunately couldn't watch today because I was at work. Looking forward to tomorrow night's game! :viking:

Solid win by the Canucks this afternoon. Hughes chips in with 3 assist and is finally starting to hit his skating stride. EP40 with a goal and assist. Boeser pots his second goal of the playoffs and adds an assist. The Lotto line looking more every shift. Sort of a blessing in disguise that Toffoli is out this round.

On one hand, I am never upset to see the Wylde taken behind the woodshed.

On the other hand, the way it's shaping up there could be three Central Division teams (four if you count Arizona) vying for the right to draft Alexis Lafreniere. I'd rather not see him go to one of those clubs. CERTAINLY not friggin' Minny.

SMH why they thought throwing Ferland in there was a good idea. I agree, Tommy, that hockey's "warrior culture" is to partially to blame here; how could Green not see this coming? Ferland getting into a fight in his first game back... You can set your Fitbit to it.

So who would have thought that replacing Ferland and Toffoli with Erikkson and Virtanen would be a winning recipe for the Cannots? Still plenty of hockeying left and I can't count out that defense yet.

It's like Tyler Myers keeps finding new ways to suck.

Canucks win game 4, 11 seconds into OT and take the play-in series 3-1 over the Wylde. They make the SC Playoffs for the first time in 5 years. Dog of a game by Marky but the Canucks bail him out and erase 3-1 and 4-3 deficits to push the game into OT. Tanev with the OT heroics. Green sure looked relieved. Probably saved his own job if not for Count Benning's job. Their first round match up won't be decided until Sunday - looking like either Dallas or St.Louis.

Side note - Joulevi finally sees his first NHL game action and looked solid under limited minutes replacing Fantenberg. Green said he played heavier than they thought he would and he wasn't nervous at all. The coaches were more nervous than he was. Go figure.

That was a great game. Clearly Tanev’s power emanates from his unkempt locks. :wookie:

Amazing that the Canucks overcame the Wylde, Jim Benning, and Tyler Myers and his 1000000000000000000000000000000000 penalties to win this series.

Much as I slag Jimmy Boy though, one of his gambles won big-time--because of this series win, the Canucks will only give up the 17th overall pick in this year's draft to New Jersey (which previously belonged to Tampa) as part of the J.T. Miller trade.
